We all know what a rough year 2020 was - harder for some more than others. It moved us to make some serious changes in our business presence.
It is with mixed emotions that we have closed our brick and mortar location in the Charleston City Market.
We have spent a wonderful 10 years meeting all of the great people that have visited our shop.
Now we are focusing more on our online business and our wholesale customers.
So please continue to visit us online - call us - text us - we are still here for you.
We want to let everyone know - we have not closed our business - we have only left the building!

Charleston is known for being a city of hospitality, history, and diversity. It's not very hard to see why it has been voted the number one city to visit in the United States several times over.
We, here at Old World Glass Studio, are so grateful to be surrounded by an endless amount of inspiration and strive to infuse this beautiful Southern city into each piece we lovingly handcraft.
Whether you are a local, a transplant, or just visiting this little paradise in the South, we hope you enjoy each piece we create and make memories worth sharing!
About Us
Lane has worked in stained glass since 1978. His career has included the custom design and fabrication of liturgical and non-liturgical windows for many settings. In addition to the new windows, Lane has used his skills in the repair and restoration of thousands of nineteenth and twentieth century stained glass windows including windows by Tiffany, La Farge and other renowned artists. His career/learning path has brought him in working contact with artists and craftsmen in each of the lower forty-eight states, picking up skills, techniques and friendships along the way.
Cheryl's education and experiences are in Corporate America. Her work in the corporate environment has given her the experience and expertise to facilitate OWGS business management. While these administrative responsibilities may keep her away from full time studio work, she spends as much time as possible experimenting and expanding her artistic expression in glass. This artistic bent is a natural outpouring of being a member of the third generation of stained glass craftsmen and artisans.
In their many years of marriage and working together, their skills have fused together like the fused glass they work with. They each add to and compliment the finished work, while retaining the individual characteristics and color of personality displayed in the variety of their products. Some of the creations are entirely Cheryl's and some are Lane's, but the influence they have on each other puts the polish on each finished piece of art.
